I'm Justin Gould. I coach technology leaders — the people moving from Head of Engineering or GM Technology into the executive seat, where the problems stop being technical and start being about people, politics and judgement.
This blog started in 2009 and spent most of its life as a weekly pub quiz. Those posts are all still here, because deleting fifteen years of something you enjoyed is a strange thing to do. New writing is mostly about coaching and leadership.
The site name, for anyone who arrived without context: I am bald, and I am a Pom.

Built with Astro and hosted as static files. There's no database, no login page and no plugins — which is the whole point. The previous WordPress version of this blog was compromised in July 2026, and the simplest way to not have that happen again was to remove everything that could be exploited.
